Gregg Harris, Pastor Elder,Household of Faith Community Church Mission ConneXion Northwest is an amazing celebration and collaboration, a powerful, free missions conference. Mission-hearted churches in the region support it, drawing participation from worldwide missionaries and agencies. What a feast for the Body of Christ! What a resource right in our own backyard!
Missions are the result of healthy local churches. Missions are not
only the end of Christian maturity; they are also its means. We grow by
going.
In the five years since Household of Faith Community Church first
engaged in Mission ConneXion Northwest, its impact on our members,
young and old, has planted seeds that bear spiritual fruit for years to
come. As a pastor who longs to see all of the members of his church
respond faithfully to God's call on their lives, this is answered
prayer. Pastors, exhort your people to prayerfully attend every
session. Choose training workshops and spend time browsing the exhibit
halls. God will meet every person in a powerful way -- your church will
be strengthened.
The age-old debate between humanitarian social
work and Gospel evangelism is being resolved by growing numbers of
missionaries. They know that the most humanitarian thing to do for any
people anywhere in this world is to plant a fully functional New
Testament church among them. That local church becomes the salt and the
light of its community, responding as Christ commanded to be zealous
for good works in order to meet the pressing needs around it, while
proclaiming boldly the good news of Jesus Christ!
Thank God
for men and women willing to go and make disciples for Jesus Christ,
especially those planting new churches where none now exist. They are
today's heroes. They are who HOFCC delights to support. Thank God for
all the servant-hearted folks behind Mission ConneXion Northwest.
