Look What the Lord Has Done!
13,000 people! That’s the number of mission information seekers who came to find out “What’s Next” at Mission ConneXion 2008. That’s an increase of over 20%!
Actual attendance count was 12,911, but we claim a few who walked past
while our back was turned. Rolling Hills Community Church was awash in
activity January 18 and 19. Average attendance at the four key speaker
sessions was over 1509! – a total of 6041.
Close to 7000 people attended
the five workshop tracks (6876 actual) which means average workshop
attendance was 57.3! The exhibitor areas were constantly busy.
The top
five workshop tracks were:
- World Religions
- Emerging
Generations
- Activating your church
- Mission Strategies
- Just Causes.
The top five workshops were:
- Are All Religions the
Same? – Neil Mammen,
- Are all Non-Christians Going to Hell? – Gerry
Breshears,
- Things You Should Know – Spiritual Warfare – Doug
Pennoyer,
- P is for Prostitution – Joy Oeleke,
- Justice, Jihad
and Jesus – Lawrence Sloan.
God wins! You who attended created the
success. Certainly the hard work of hundreds of talented volunteers,
the Mission ConneXion Steering Committee and Board, and the awesome
staff at Rolling Hills Community Church played a variety of roles. But
you answered with a passion to learn, be exposed and become
energized.
