Here I AM, Send Me

I think it was 2007, but I was a junior in high school when I attended Mission ConneXion. You all inspired me and awoke a passion in my heart that had always been there - but I had never been able to put words to. I don't remember who was speaking, but at some point there was an opportunity to say, "Here I am, send me." I stood and prayed that prayer with all my heart. I wrote it on my arm and then I waited to see what God would do.

It is a couple of years down the road now, but now I am serving as a full-time missionary in Mexico. I have been here in Mazatlan for 10 months; and in December a small team and I are moving to Mexico City to start a new YWAM base there.

I know this is where I was always meant to be. Thank you for offering this conference. It changes lives and as a result the world. You offered an opportunity for God to change me and I know big things are coming because of it. May God bless you even more-and keep up the amazing work!!!

Kia serves with Youth With a Mission Discipleship Training School. In December, their team of four staff and 10 students from YWAM DTS Mazatlan will be heading to central Mexico City looking for building to transform into a base. Their goals for the next six months are to find a building, move-in and start their first DTS in July, as well as just getting to know the city and the ministry already being done, so that they can pray about how to best go about transforming the heart of Mexico! www.ywamdts.org

To anyone looking at supporting Mission ConneXion, I highly recommend it. They provide quality teaching, an excellent atmosphere, and hundreds of open doors for hungry hearts looking for the first step or the next step in missions. They are a gateway for the future heroes in missions!
